EDM · Environmental Design and Management is a 6-person consulting located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Providing consulting services since 1993, the firm has a record of developing and applying new, alternative approaches to a variety of land-use challenges. Our solutions blend planning, ecology, engineering and geomatic perspectives to provide our clients with an integrated product. The result is a comprehensive solution delivered with excellent service, as well as one that is grounded in experience, expertise, and attention to detail. Many of these solutions are technological, and we pride ourselves on having knowledge of and implementing the best available technology for ecosystem protection and use.
EDM has a history of success in community based analysis, design and strategic planning projects. Our approach to such projects is based on: community and/or stakeholder consultation, field analysis and GIS modeling, research into best practices, and a give and take negotiation with all parties in order to identify “win win” opportunities that allow projects to move forward.
