Environmental DNA

eDNA testing is a scientific tool available to augment or replace conventional ecological survey methods for the detection of species of management interest. eDNA is the genetic material released by organisms into the environment and collected via water, sediment or soil sampling.

As the first laboratory in Canada accredited for eDNA testing by the Standards Council of Canada, Bureau Veritas is pleased to provide an introduction to eDNA sampling and interpretation and its advantages as part of an environmental risk assessment.
