About ESAM

President’s Message

Founded in 1994, the Environmental Services Association Maritimes (ESAM) has been operating for 26 years as a not-for-profit business organization dedicated to the promotion of environmental products, services and organizations within the environmental industry.

Our Board brings a diverse skill set to ESAM, with representation from the Federal Government, academia, the consulting industry, and business owners.  The breadth of experience is impressive and includes expertise in the fields of environmental assessment, fisheries and wildlife, hazardous materials, site assessment, remediation, and research and development.

ESAM:
  • is now serving the Maritime Provinces (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island).
  • aims to be the Maritimes’ premier resource for the environmental sector by facilitating growth, collaboration, and communication among industry and government.
  • provides networking and information activities regarding the environmental sector through Conferences, Trade Shows, Information Sessions, Workshops, Social Events, and through LinkedIn, our website and monthly Newsletter.

“As a volunteer-based Association, the support of our members is vital, and is directly linked to the value we can deliver to our membership. Please consider becoming a member, volunteering on a committee or serving on the Board, attending and/or sponsoring events and activities, spreading the word about ESAM to other potential members, and reaching out to us with feedback, recommendations and suggestions – we are always open to new and innovative ideas.

This year, the Board will further integrate professional development and networking activities across the region, and facilitate communication and cross-pollination of ideas, trend analyses and innovations. As a regional voice, we will work hard to ensure we are hearing and accurately representing the interests of the environmental industry throughout the Maritimes, advocating on behalf of all our members, and being accessible as a resource to our membership.

On behalf of the Association, thank you for your continued support.”
