ESAM Technical Training Session 2026
The Environmental Services Association of Maritimes (ESAM) Board is pleased to announce our 2026 Technical Training Session, taking place on:
Wednesday, November 4, 2026
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Mic Mac Amateur Aquatic Club
Dartmouth, Nova Scotia
Cost: $150 per person
We’re excited to bring environmental practitioners from across Atlantic Canada together for a day of learning, discussion, and networking.
We are also pleased to announce that Matt Symes, CEO of Symplicity Designs, has agreed to deliver the keynote presentation, “Leading in the Age of AI: What It Means for Environmental Practitioners.” Matt will explore the practical opportunities and leadership considerations surrounding AI adoption in the environmental sector and how organizations can begin implementing AI effectively and responsibly.
To round out the program, the ESAM Board is now seeking presentation proposals from our membership as well as provincial and federal departments involved with the management of contaminated sites
We welcome presentations on a broad range of environmental topics, including:
Presentations should be 30 minutes or less, including time for questions and discussion.

In addition, ESAM Premier Members will be invited to host tabletop exhibits, providing an opportunity to showcase their organizations and engage with attendees throughout the day.
Whether you have a technical case study, regulatory update, emerging trend, or innovative approach to share, we encourage you to submit a presentation proposal and help make this year’s event informative, relevant, and engaging.
